Meet The Dogs
Pickle
Pickle is a white Bichon Frise. He has a gentle and sensitive nature but during the adventure displays strong resolve to help Nina.
His curiosity and ingenuity provide many of the clues for Micky and Bessie to follow. Pickle displays equal measures of intelligence and vanity and at times seems almost human.
Bessie
Bessie is a pure black working cocker spaniel and Micky’s sister. She is the complete opposite of Micky in character. When a dangerous situation arises, her first instinct is to panic and then barks at volumes so that anyone nearby would need earplugs.
She is the butt of Micky’s jokes and responds well to compliments that appeal to her vanity. Bessie is the greediest dog ever and is distracted from everything going on when food is involved.
Micky
Micky is a blue roan working cocker spaniel. He is not phased by anything, acts first and thinks later. His greatest pleasures in life are teasing Bessie and chasing a ball anyone throws for him.
He is courageous and looks after his friends in all circumstances. Micky likes food especially treats and knows all the tricks to get lots of them.
Nina
Nina is a young Italian girl, whose courageous, independent and resilient character has been shaped by her life experiences. She shows flashes of good humour and a capacity for positive mischief throughout the adventure.
Her inquisitive nature leads to the first meeting Micky and Bessie but it’s her determination that enables their friendship to develop and endure.
